Automated Thermal Desorber AutoTDS-V

The AutoTDS-V is a high-performance, fully automated thermal desorption sample preparation system engineered specifically for environmental air monitoring and indoor air quality (IAQ) analysis. Seamlessly interfacing with mainstream GC and GC-MS instruments, the system provides automated sequence handling for up to 20 sample tubes (configurable for 10/20/40/50 positions). Equipped with optional ambient or low-temperature secondary refocusing traps, the AutoTDS-V delivers maximum recovery of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), sharp chromatographic peaks, and exceptional measurement repeatability.

Features:
Universal GC/GC-MS Integration
Fully Automated Workflow
Zero-Cold-Spot Heated Path
Automated Leak Checking

Introduction

Parameters

Key Features

  • Universal GC/GC-MS Integration: Standardized hardware interfaces connect with all major analytical instruments, featuring dual-channel sync output signals to automatically initiate data acquisition.
  • Fully Automated Workflow: Software-driven sequence control allows “walk-away” operation. A large color touchscreen displays real-time temperature curves and system status throughout every run.
  • Advanced Cold-Trap Refocusing: Combines Peltier (semiconductor) thermoelectric cooling with forced air cooling, paired with direct-resistance rapid heating (>3000 °C/min) for high enrichment efficiency and narrow peak widths.
  • Zero-Cold-Spot Heated Path: Independently heated 6-port valve and transfer lines prevent cold spots, eliminating sample condensation, carryover, and memory effects.
  • Automated Leak Checking: Performs an automated seal test on each sample tube prior to analysis, protecting valuable samples and ensuring data validity.
  • Flexible Modular Options: Supports optional ambient or cryogenic secondary desorption modules to handle both trace-level and high-concentration VOC samples.

Applications & Regulatory Compliance

  • Environmental Air Monitoring: Complies with HJ 644-2013 (VOC determination via sorbent tube sampling and TD-GC/MS) and HJ 583-2010 (Solid Adsorption/Thermal Desorption GC method).
  • Indoor Air Quality (IAQ): Fully compliant with GB/T 18883-2022 (Indoor Air Quality Standard) and GB 50325-2020 (Code for Indoor Environmental Pollution Control of Civil Building Engineering).
  • Automotive Cabin Testing: Complies with HJ/T 400-2007 (Determination of VOCs and carbonyl compounds in vehicles).
